Which airports do you cover?
We cover the main airports within reach of the West Midlands from our base in Solihull. Birmingham Airport is about 15 minutes away, East Midlands around an hour, Manchester and London Luton around an hour and 45 minutes, Heathrow around two hours, Stansted around two hours and 15 minutes, and Gatwick around two and a half hours. Those times are from Solihull and change with traffic, so we plan the pick-up time with you when you book.
We collect from Solihull, Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Meriden, Balsall Common, Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon, and we can do a nationwide transfer from further afield too.
How does flight monitoring work?
When you book a collection, give us your flight number. Your driver watches the live arrival time rather than the timetable, so if your flight lands two hours late, we arrive two hours later. If it lands early, we know about that as well.
Flight monitoring is part of every airport transfer at no extra charge, and you are not charged for waiting on a delayed flight: the first 45 minutes from the actual landing time are free, which covers passport control and baggage reclaim. It means you can switch your phone on after landing and know the car is already sorted.
What is meet and greet?
With meet and greet, your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with your luggage and walks you to the car. It is useful after a long-haul flight, for older travellers, for anyone flying into an airport they don't know well, and for business guests you are bringing in.
Meet and greet has a small base cost on top of the transfer price, and we confirm it when you book. If you would rather meet the driver outside, that is fine too: we will agree where.
How much luggage can I bring?
Our standard saloons take up to four passengers and two cases. For a family holiday, the 6-seat MPV takes up to five passengers, and the 7-seater MPV takes up to six passengers and six cases. Tell us how many people are travelling and roughly what you are carrying, including golf bags, ski bags or a pushchair, and we will send a car that fits it all.
How is an airport transfer priced?
Each airport journey is quoted as a single fixed price before you travel. The price depends on the airport, where we pick you up, the time of day and the car you need. Because flight monitoring is included, a delayed flight does not change the price you agreed.
If you need a return journey, book both legs together and we will quote them at the same time. Regular business travellers can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, and we are happy to hold a standing early-morning slot for a weekly flight.
What time will you pick me up for my flight?
Tell us your flight time and the airport and we will suggest a pick-up time that gets you there with time to spare, allowing for the usual traffic on the M42, M6, M40 or M1. Early starts and late-night landings are no problem, because pre-booked journeys can be at any hour. Your booking is confirmed in writing, so you have the time and the price in front of you.
